Seems like something happened to time in 2016 because honestly, how is it NOVEMBER already??? OK, it’s not like I mind it, as it means that soon I can legally listen to Christmas music (although I’ve been shamelessly doing it since early October – please don’t judge me!). But more importantly, it means that Movember is here - and no, that’s not a typo.
This month is all about men’s health. Movember is a movement that raises awareness of cancer prevention, the importance of regular screenings, and shines light on mental health issues – which, to be honest, is a topic people tend to neglect, but it’s so, so important. So it’s a noble cause, and an easy task: no shaving – just let that moustache/beard grow all through Movember. An to help all of you participating keeping your Mo or beard nice and groomed, here’s a DIY beard oil that’s easy to make. And it’s a perfect Christmas gift for those who will get to like the razor-free life and decide to keep that Stache even after Movember.
What you’ll need:
- 5 ml (0.3 oz) grape seed oil
- 5 ml (17 oz) jojoba oil
- 3 drops Ylang-Ylang oil
- 2 drops Cedarwood oil
- 3 drops Bergamot oil
- A small container, an empty essential oil glass will do just fine
How:
- Pour everything into your glass in the same order as listed above – maybe use a small funnel for this step.
- Close the vial and shake-shake-shake!
- If it’s a gift, you can download the label I made here, print it out, cut it, and glue it one the glass, and it’s all done!
How to apply: Take 2-3 drops of the oil, rub it between your palms, and then apply to your beard or moustache.
